Space on the vehicle may be limited, but it’s all part of the adventure and a great way to connect with fellow travellers. The days are full so you can experience the very best of the Red Centre in just six unforgettable days.

Accommodation:

The listed accommodation is a guide and may be subject to change due to availability. If substitutions are required, properties of a similar standard will be used.

While every effort is made to have rooms ready on arrival, early check-in can’t always be guaranteed. In these cases, luggage storage or shared day rooms may be available until check-in time.

In Kings Canyon, you’ll stay in simple bush tents set against the stunning George Gill Ranges. Each tent includes AC, power, lighting, and all linen. Facilities include shared bathrooms, a camp kitchen with fire pit, picnic area and swimming pool.

On the Kakadu extension camping ranges from comfortable powered sites with shared facilities to remote bush camps. Everyone is expected to lend a hand to make the experience enjoyable — this may include helping with equipment, setting up tents, preparing meals, or washing up.

Walks:

This trip includes a variety of walks ranging from easy to moderately challenging, giving you the chance to fully experience the landscapes of the Red Centre.

Distances vary from short 2–3 km walks to longer 10 km hikes, typically taking 1–4 hours depending on the terrain and pace.

The Kings Canyon Rim Walk (6 km, approx. 3–4 hours) is the most demanding — a Grade 4 walk suitable for those with good fitness — but your leader can offer shorter, easier alternatives if preferred.

Expect a mix of Grade 2–3 tracks across Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and the West MacDonnell Ranges.

On the Kakadu extension, the Ubirr Walk is a 1 km easy-to-moderate loop (around 1 hour) featuring ancient rock art and a steep 250 m climb to a lookout with stunning views.

At Leliyn (Edith Falls), enjoy a 2.6 km walk with opportunities to swim in natural pools along the way.
